2019 – Street Survival® Seminar Overview

STREET SURVIVAL II® 2019 is a completely up-to-date training experience that features the country's top instructors as well as dozens of video clips of police/citizen encounters. We examine the latest science concerning the dangers from two types of stress:

1. Sudden Onset Acute Stress: How being unprepared, unfamiliar and inexperienced with acute stress often results in poor communication, driving, and decisions regarding use of force options. Decisions made under Sudden Onset Acute Stress result in unnecessary injuries and deaths.

2. Chronic/Cumulative Stress: We explore the medical research that reveals how chronic stress is the root cause of what takes more Officer's lives than any other on-duty danger - heart attacks and suicide.

We also discuss the most current issues concerning how law enforcement is being portrayed in the media. Use of force studies conducted by prominent academics as well as statistics by respected government sources are examined, revealing the truth about how often officers use force. Our goal is for officers to understand the absolute realities of their job as civilian peace officers that include how to overcome and prevent violent attacks.
