If a government e-mail account is listed for your CLEAT member account, we would highly encourage you to change it to a personal e-mail address. E-mail sent to or from a governmental e-mail address is subject to open records requests. We are your legal representative and our concern is that highly privileged communications may inadvertently be obtained via open records requests. We have also seen where e-mails sent to governmental e-mail addresses are routinely blocked by spam filters. To ensure we can communicate with you in a confidential manner, please use a private/personnel e-mail address.
